Welcome

Welcome to West Harbour School.
We provide quality education for new entrants to year 8 students.

West Harbour School was opened in May 1979 and began with 150 children. The school, over the years, has grown to a roll of over 500.

Organisation
West Harbour School is a variable teaching space school, built with open teaching spaces, separate classrooms, withdrawal rooms and a library resource room. A new two-up, two-down classroom block for senior students was opened in 1999. The school is divided into five separate areas or Syndicates, each administered by a Senior Teacher.
The Syndicates are:
Manuka | Matai | Totara | Tawa | Kowhai
Each child has a home group teacher. During the day children may move to other teachers for certain curriculum areas.
