Maths
TERM 1: During this term, students will be developing their knowledge and use of strategies for solving problems involving fractions and ratios. They will also be focusing on improving their recall of times tables facts. Students will also develop their knowledge and skills in Algebra and Statistics during this term.

 Room 19 students focus on talking mathematically to each other. Students learn how to ask good mathematical questions if they do not understand something in maths.
Above is an example of learning in maths. Students have been given a problem to solve and have worked in groups to develop a solution. Each group then records and explains their strategy to the bigger group. Students learn a variety of different strategies from each other which helps them become better mathematicians.
