Our Fantastic Writing

  In our class we are learning how to make our writing more interesting. We are learning about nouns, adjectives and verbs and how these words can add interest to our writing. We are also learning how write about how we feel.

In Writing we are learning how to use

Word Classes

• Nouns - naming words (Cat)
• Adjectives-describes the nouns (Black cat)
• Verbs - doing words (The cat is running)

Language Features

• Similes -Is like something

(The moon is like a big ball of cheese)

• Alliteration -words that start with the same letter or sound

(Seven slimy snakes)

• Onomatopoeia -words that sound like their meaning

(POP, BANG, CRACKLE)
